LOGISTICS

Ella is in the final year of her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She is also working towards obtaining a Certificate in Sustainability.

She is currently working as a marketing and human resources intern at Chandos Construction, and is excited about the experience and knowledge she is gaining working for a company with such strong values. In her free time, she loves to golf, fish, watch the Oilers, and take her dog Moose for walks. You can find her at the lake or in the mountains any chance she gets.

 

Ella is thrilled to be a part of the 2023 NEW executive team. As a past delegate herself, she knows firsthand the value of building connections, growing your network, and learning from other successful women.

She is excited to provide other students with a memorable, meaningful experience at this year’s conference.

Gurleen is in her fourth year at the Alberta School of Business with a major in Finance and a minor in Business Economics. She is also working towards a certificate in Real Estate. During her time in University, Gurleen has been very involved on campus with numerous student clubs as she loves the people she meets and the new experiences they come with.

She has been on the executive committee of The Management and Business Strategy Club, The Strategic Management and Business Club, The Alberta Not For Profit Association, Connecting Seniors with Care, and The Entrepreneurship Club. Beyond university, Gurleen loves to spend time with her friends and family, travel and try new restaurants, activities and experiences. 

 

After hearing amazing things about the conference from, and attending herself in 2021, Gurleen knew that being a part of the planning committee was something she wanted to do! She is excited for all the opportunities and connections the conference will bring this year to empower all the delegates!

Sofia is in her second year at the Alberta School of Business, pursuing a finance major. After hearing about the NEW conference from peers, she became motivated to join the organization that focuses on empowering, connecting, and inspiring women.

Sofia tries to surround herself with like-minded individuals as she is also a committee member for Shine Bright Be Fearless, a female empowerment non-for-profit. Sofia is excited for the NEW 2023 Conference and to create an engaging and immersive conference for the delegates and corporates!

In her free time, Sofia loves dancing, golfing, and hanging out with friends. She also loves travelling and hopes there will be more travelling in the

upcoming year.
