Amal is a Business Technology Management student passionate about connecting people and building meaningful partnerships. As External Director at NEW, she is excited to strengthen relationships with community partners and create valuable opportunities for members. Supporting diversity, inclusion, and empowerment has always been important to her, and she’s proud to contribute to a team dedicated to uplifting voices and fostering growth.
Outside of school, Amal enjoys Lagree, trying out new cafe’s and going on long walks. She looks forward to working hard and making a positive impact on the NEW community throughout the coming year!
Vivika Sharma
EXTERNAL DIRECTOR
Vivika is entering her fifth year at the University of Alberta, pursuing a Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing. After two incredible years attending the NEW Conference as a delegate, she’s excited to step into the role of External Director on the 2026 Executive Team. Vivika looks forward to helping create spaces that foster confidence, connection, and growth, something she truly valued at NEW.
Alongside NEW, Vivika serves as VP Internal for the University of Alberta Marketing Association and VP Marketing for the Cooperative Education Students’ Association. Outside of academics, Vivika is a competitive dancer who loves staying active and spending time with the people she loves. She can’t wait for an incredible year ahead with the inspiring NEW community!
Amy Tran

Amy is in her fourth year at the University of Alberta School of Business, majoring in Operations Management. After an unforgettable year as an External Director last year, she is so excited to be back for more as VP External for the 2026 year! Amy is looking forward to continuing to spread the joy and knowledge that the conference brings, connecting one another and providing opportunities in a fair and safe space for women.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her friends, exploring the outdoors, and spending an absurd amount of money on coffee!
