Gurjot Cheema
CO-CHAIR
Gurjot is currently in her third year at the Alberta School of Business, pursuing a major in HR. Gurjot has always had an immense passion for women's empowerment and uplifting those around her, which is what led her to the NEW team in the first place.
Returning to the executive team for a third year, Gurjot previously served as the VP External and Director of PR. This year, she is thrilled to take on the role of co-chair on the 2025 NEW Executive Team. She eagerly anticipates contributing to the successful execution of another impactful conference, deepening her understanding of women's empowerment, and curating an unforgettable experience for this year's esteemed delegates.
Kaitlyn Benvenuto
CO-CHAIR
Kaitlyn is in her fourth year at the University of Alberta as an Accounting major. She was inspired after seeing past delegates attend the NEW conference and joined the 2024 team as an external director. Kaitlyn is excited to be part of this year's executive team as Co-Chair and hopes to create a memorable experience for all attending, helping delegates feel empowered to pursue any future goals they set out.
Kaitlyn also values quality time with her friends, family, and two French Bulldogs. She loves to explore the outdoors, whether that’s going on runs, hikes, or finding different cafes in Edmonton. Kaitlyn is looking forward to the NEW Conference and being there to support and uplift the women around her.
